The Republic Of Mauritius is an island nation located in the South West part of the Indian Ocean,
The island of Mauritius lies 855 kilometers east of Madagascar, about 2400 kilometers south east of Africa mainland, and about 3,900 kilometers southwest of India. The Republic of Mauritius includes the islands of Rodrigues, Agalega and St. Brandon and some 49 uninhabited islets.
The capital and largest city Port Louis is located on the main island of Mauritius.
The main island Mauritius is 65 km (40 mi) long and 45 km (30 mi) wide. Its land area is 1,864.8 km2. The island is surrounded by more than 150 km (100 mi) of white sandy beaches, and the lagoons are protected from the open sea by the world’s third-largest coral reef, which surrounds the island.
The estimated resident population of the Republic of Mauritius was 1,265,577 as at 1st July 2018. Mauritius has the highest population density in Africa. Mauritius is a multi-ethnic society, drawn from African, Indian ,Chinese and European (mostly French) origin.
According to the 2011 census conducted by Statistics Mauritius, Hinduism is the largest religion at 48.5%, followed by Christianity (32.7%), Islam (17.2%) and other religions (0.7%).
The Mauritian population is multilingual.
Mauritian french Creole is the mother tongue of most Mauritians, most people are also fluent in English and French; they tend to switch languages according to the situation. French and English are favoured in educational and professional settings, while Asian languages are used mainly in music, religious and cultural activities. The media and literature are primarily in French.
Mauritius has a tropical climate with 2 seasons: a warm humid summer from November to April, with a mean temperature of 24.7 °C (76.5 °F) and a relatively cool dry winter from June to September with a mean temperature of 20.4 °C (68.7 °F).
In September 2019 we are expecting temperature highest 25 °C and lowest 18°C.

There are 4 direct flights per day from South Africa ,3 times per week from Nairobi by Kenya Airways, 2 flights per day from Dubai by Emirates and one flight per day from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines.
Air Mauritius has 2 flights daily to Paris and London.
